I make one knife at a time.

Starting with a stack of high carbon steels I forge them together into a single billet, hammer it out and fold it back onto itself several times to create damascus steel.

Most of my blades have around 300 layers of steel in them giving a wood grain like pattern and a winning combination of hardness and flexibility.

I also forge stainless steel blades, usually leaving hammer marks and fire scale across the top of the blades for a bit of brute de forge character on the plain steel.

All of my blades are hammered to shape and that's my favourite part. I take my time when forging the geometry into each blade so they require minimal grinding to finish them off.

Each knife I make is unique. My blades are constantly evolving as I fine tune my skills with the hammer and forge what my eye wants to see.

I learned the trade from my Dad, John. As a kid I would sit in Dad's workshop and watch him in awe, taking it all in and practicing when I could, usually when dad was having a siesta under his bench. Now I make knives full time.

I also make jewellery and other treasures that will pop up in my shop every now and then.

I rarely catch up to my orders so I don't have knives available on my website very often. I keep a range of knives on my PRODUCTS page so you can get an idea of my blade types and prices. If you have any special requests feel free to let me know and I'll do my best to make a knife to your requirements.

If you would like to order something please CONTACT me to get the ball rolling. Wait times are usually anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months.
